LORING’s Health Care Services Group was retained by Montgomery Watson Harza to provide the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering for the renovation and addition to the Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, NY.  This new six-story building is to be located between the Hospital’s existing main entrance and the Pruyn Pavilion.  LORING provided engineering services for a number of projects at this facility, including the following:

• a new 155,000 sf, six-story North Tower addition that will contain Intensive and Critical Care Units, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, two Medical/Surgical floors, four Cardiac Cath. Labs, 26 bed Oncology Unit, a bistro and administrative support areas.
  
  

• renovations for approximately 50,000 sf in the existing hospital facility. The renovations included the relocation of the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory, expansion of the Clinical Pathology Laboratory, relocation of Nuclear Medicine, expansion of Surgical Recovery, and the modification of the existing main hospital lobby.

• the renovation and expansion of the existing Radiology Department that included a new Linear Accelerator.
  
  

• the renovation of 9,000 sf of the East Wing of the hospital to provide an Acute Rehab Unit that included physical therapy areas, patient rooms and nursing support areas.
