1986, Joseph R. Loring & Associates, Inc. provided mechanical
and electrical services for the 180,000 gsf.

headquarters building for the Moller Steamship Company
(subsequently renamed Maersk) in
Madison,
NJ.
After nearly 20 years of successful operation Maersk turned to
LORING to provide engineering services to upgrade their building
systems as part of a building-wide renovation.
In addition to providing new mechanical and
electrical equipment to conform to the
International
Building
and Energy Codes, LORING provided telecommunications consulting services
for VOIP, Owners’ engineering services for the replacement of their
Central Chillers and the design of a new state-of-the-art DDC control
system. The renovation includes the conversion of an office wing to a
Corporate
Learning
Center,
including an 82 seat executive conference room equipped for
teleconferencing and several training rooms and conference rooms for
multi-media learning.
In
addition, LORING provided master planning services to address expansion
possibilities for the facility. Ultimately, LORING provided engineering
services for approximately 80,000 gsf in an adjacent building of this
suburban corporate campus and an interconnecting walkway between the two
buildings.
