Maersk Corporate Headquarters
Madison, NJ

In 1986, Joseph R. Loring & Associates, Inc. provided mechanical and electrical services for the 180,000 gsf. United States headquarters building for the Moller Steamship Company (subsequently renamed Maersk) in Madison, NJ.

After nearly 20 years of successful operation Maersk turned to LORING to provide engineering services to upgrade their building systems as part of a building-wide renovation.

In addition to providing new mechanical and electrical equipment to conform to the International Building and Energy Codes, LORING provided telecommunications consulting services for VOIP, Owners’ engineering services for the replacement of their Central Chillers and the design of a new state-of-the-art DDC control system. The renovation includes the conversion of an office wing to a Corporate Learning Center, including an 82 seat executive conference room equipped for teleconferencing and several training rooms and conference rooms for multi-media learning.

In addition, LORING provided master planning services to address expansion possibilities for the facility. Ultimately, LORING provided engineering services for approximately 80,000 gsf in an adjacent building of this suburban corporate campus and an interconnecting walkway between the two buildings.
