- The security system at
Brooklyn
College
provides security monitoring, signaling and
communications for the academic and
administration buildings. The system covers
approximately 595 Emergency Assistance (EA)
stations, various door contact alarms and card
key access controls in labs and other secure
facilities. In addition, there are over 90
CCTV indoor and outdoor cameras.

This new 115,000 square foot K-8 school will have a
complete telecommunication and security system
designed by LORING. LORING is providing E-RATE
consulting to assist the school in obtaining
FCC rebates on the purchase of the internal
connections for this school. The design
incorporated all of the technology plan
requirements of the school district as well as
the requirements of the NJSCC.

investigated the reports of
lighting related outages of telephone system,
reviewed the service records maintained by the
college/telephone vendor, surveyed the three
telephone node locations and examined the
grounding and protection installations.
LORING also identified a remediation
recommendation and provided a related estimate
of probable cost.

- provided a visual examination of the
hardware, detailed testing of the fiber
backbone cabling of the entire security
system, testing the copper cabling of the
‘code blue’ personal assistance stations
and an evaluation report on the feasibility of
rectifying the current system.

- provided communication consulting and
engineering services for the planned Federated
Practice Plan space at the
Corporate
Park
in
Yonkers.
LORING
included call center design services for one
full floor and two partial floors of standard
office space with an occupancy of 150 staff.
Total area is approximately 23,000 square
feet.

Medical

- provided engineering services for a new
Call
Center, separate PBX and new cabling infrastructure
for this four-story structure. .
This site becomes a key node in the
MONTENET Sonet Ring.
This facility is mission critical and
LORING designed a Fiber Optic Redundant
Transport (FORT) system to provide enhanced
reliability.

project involved the design of a new cabling
infrastructure for this seven story,
250,000 sf office building.
New Telecommunication Closets were
designed to provide a controlled environment
for new Cisco hardware and voice and data
cross connect. Construction occurred while the
building was occupied.

provided telecommunication infrastructure for
this 50,000 square foot new building. LORING designed the data center layout and
developed the Request for Proposal for the
call center and telephone system.

Office Relocation (Telecom & Security),

provided telecommunication and security
design services for the expansion of NJEDA
offices at
One West State Street
to accommodate the NJSCC. The project included
the design of a fully expandable
telecommunication backbone to maximize the
utility of the installed system since the
NJEDA planned to expand to other floors in the
building.

story, 45,000 sf office building for the NJ
Economic Development Authority. LORING
developed complete voice and data
communication cabling drawing and
specification in coordination with NJ OIT
(Office of Infrastructure Technology). LORING

assurance for the installation in addition to
construction
administration services for this project.
