World Trade Center Complex, New York, NY

In 1962, after only 6 years in business, LORING was commissioned to provide electrical engineering services for the twelve million square foot World Trade Center Complex. Since that time LORING
had continued to provide the MEP engineering services for the facility. In addition to millions of square feet of tenant fit-out, work has included studies to provide smoke evacuation for both towers and subgrade areas, provide selected tenants with power and condenser water under emergency conditions, and master planning to add a new retail mall at the concourse levels. Completed infrastructure projects include upgrade and expansion of the river water and condenser water pumping systems, addition of a standby emergency generator plant and provision of a chiller monitoring system. In the past years, we have provided services for
more than 250 projects at the World Trade Center, the majority of which were directly for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
