Our Corporate BIM Technologies Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our growing team. This position will be located in our Kingston, Jamaica office.
Primary Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct rigorous clash detection and visual walkthroughs using industry-standard tools and company defined processes to resolve conflicts proactively and deliver clash-free models.
Facilitate cross-disciplinary conflict resolution, track open issues, and drive clashes to full resolution.
Establish, maintain, and systematically update project CAD Xref structures to ensure all background files are synchronized across multidisciplinary design teams.
Coordinate with project team members to outline and drive the appropriate digital practices and deliverables on a per-project basis.
Manage project models and CAD backgrounds for coordination efforts.
Utilize various tools to assist the designers in their given projects.
Implement advanced virtual design strategies to improve efficiency.
Guide project teams on deliverables and foster company-wide digital fluency in design practices and technology deployment across all offices.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
A high school diploma or Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC)/Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
1+ years of BIM/VDC management and drafting experience preferred.
Experience in the implementation of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other Autodesk platforms a plus.
Drafting certificate, a plus.
Ability to multi-task with multiple projects and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both verbally and in writing.
