Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer (NY-HC-03)

Role
We are currently seeking a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to work within our New York City office Healthcare group.
Primary Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Capability to design and document building systems including but not limited to lab gases, domestic water, and sprinkler systems
  • Prepare Plumbing/Fire Protection Construction Documents
  • Review Plumbing/Fire Protection documents for areas of conflict with all building systems.
  • Working with senior engineers to execute schematic design to construction documents through construction administration
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
  • A baccalaureate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.
  • Previous mechanical or plumbing/fire protection design experience with an AE and/or MEP engineering consulting firm, including internships.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • EIT, or desire to obtain license; LEED Accreditation desirable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Ability to multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas verbally and in writing.
