Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Hall

Washington, DC
Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Hall

This project involved the provision of mechanical and electrical design services for the renovation of Constitution Hall, a 3,704-seat auditorium that is part of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s headquarters complex. Modern systems were carefully integrated to provide flexibility in operations and to improve occupants’ experience and well-being. The renovations provided lighting upgrades throughout the Hall including 972 custom-made LED laylights with integrated star-light features. Sophisticated lighting control systems provide the Hall with flexibility and adaptability to accommodate various types of performances. Renovations also included dressing rooms, bathrooms, as well as attic spaces where close spatial coordination between MEP systems and structural systems was necessary to accommodate 60 rigging points.
