Damian Payne joined Loring as an intern in 1999 and consistently advanced within Loring to become Principal and Senior Vice President in 2021. Damian has over 20 years of experience and has managed projects in both the public and private sectors.

Damian has significant experience in both higher education and cultural sectors, including clients such as Columbia University, Barnard University, Rockefeller University, Delacorte Theatre and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. His public sector work includes projects for Dormitory Authority State of New York City, New York City Department of Design and Construction, and the New York City Department of Citywide Construction Services.

Damian is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree and an emphasis on HVAC systems. He takes great pride in mentoring and educating young professionals both within the firm and in the industry. During his career, he has been a part of multiple committees and programs that have allowed for the sharing of ideas and the opportunity to mentor the next generation of engineers. These committees include ACE Mentor Program, ACEC Emerging Leaders Committee, ACEC Leadership Institute, and AIA NY Historic Building Committee.
