New York City has been home to Loring’s headquarters since the firm’s inception in 1956. Our 125+ person headquarters include technical staff across all MEP, fire protection, life safety, energy, commissioning, and information technology disciplines. Our New York team is comprised of interdisciplinary engineers organized by market sectors specializing in healthcare, K-12, higher education, cultural, utilities/infrastructure, and mixed-use/residential development. Our New York City office is also home to many of our technical directors, a highly experienced group of senior engineers who perform corporate-wide functions of setting and updating Loring’s technical standards, vetting new and emerging technologies, and mentoring younger engineers, and are key members of our quality assurance/quality control program. In a city with a significant stock of aging infrastructure, we have developed a strong portfolio of providing major systems upgrades in existing buildings, many of which are partially or fully occupied throughout construction. These complex renovation and adaptive reuse projects include both public and private sector projects for some of the region’s most respected cultural, educational, healthcare, and government institutions. Our expertise with complex city codes and regulations, coupled with our ability to meet fast-paced schedules, serves our clients well at home and is recognized when called upon by architects and owners to take on work around the world.
