New Jersey Executive Statehouse Comprehensive Renovation & Historic Restoration

Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and telecom engineering services for major mechanical systems upgrades / replacements in coordination with the comprehensive historic restoration of the approx. 130,000 sf Executive State House building. The scope of work includes new mechanical and electrical services / systems throughout the building in coordination with rigorous historic architectural guidelines. The scope of work includes new dual 5kV electric service with auto- transfer to standby feeder as well as a new generator plant with paralleled (2) 1,000kW generators; as well as complete IT and DAS systems. Schematic design options for the generator included paralleled 5kV generators; design includes 480V generator and step-up transformers for 5kV site distribution. Scope in the adjacent LSB Building includes upgrade and replacement of existing pumps and heat exchangers and coordination with incoming Veolia chilled and high temp hot water service in order to service the additional project load demands. Built in 1790 in the American Renaissance style, it is the second-oldest state house in continuous legislative use in the United States.
